Finally doing this epic flight journey ...
... on Continental Airlines. (Best friend Harald on gangway with stylish Berluti kit.)
Start in Manila in the evening.
First stop around midnight in Palau
Guam. Time for an early morning cigar in the Hilton at Tumon Bay.
Between islands again.
In Truk, pronounced Chuuk. Wearing shorts. A rare occasion.
Some Locals waiting for the plane arrival.
Between Truk and Pohnpei. Pakin Atoll.
At Pohnpei Airport.
Take Off further Eastwards.
The usual atomic mushroom clouds while approaching the Marshall Islands.
Refueling stop at Kwajalein US Air Base, site of atomic and ballistic missile tests.
Disembarking or taking fotos strictly forbidden. (Foto obviously taken by someone else.)
Shadows over Paradise.
Majuro, Marshall Islands, flying into the 2nd night towards Honolulu.
At each island, one side of the seating rows MUST disembark for cleaning of the aircraft. The others MAY step off voluntarily.
Arriving in Hawaii. Time for another (illegal) early morning cigar at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki.
Los Angeles. Flying into our 3rd night towards Mexico City.
Beautiful sunrise above Mexico City.
Finally disembarking in Mexico City early morning, after 60 hours en-route ...
... for a well-deserved shower at Camino Real Airport Hotel. Then straight for business in town.
P.S.: As usual we travel with small handluggage only (pictured on the left).
